St. Peter Catholic Church

The story of St. Peter Catholic Church begins in 1870.  Congregations throughout Saline County comprised of Irish Catholics who immigrated to rural Missouri following the Great Potato Famine merged.  Many of Missouri's immigrants came for economic reasons,  leaving their home due to land shortage, crop failures, poor wages, and troublesome economy.

Today, our Church has been present in Saline County for 151 years.  You can learn more about our parish history by clicking here.
